My Story

Hello! I’m Rachel—Counsellor, Hypnotherapist, Reflexologist, wife, mother, and fellow human! I’m here to support you when life’s path feels a bit tricky.

I’ve always been fascinated by people, wellbeing, and holistic therapies. My first qualification was as a Reflexologist back in 2001. I loved the one-to-one connection with clients and seeing them benefit from the space to relax and reset. It was meant to be my full-time career, but life had other plans. I ended up in the corporate world, spending many years mentoring and supporting others to reach their potential. It was rewarding work, but I still felt a pull to help people on a deeper, more personal level.

In 2019, I trained as a Mental Health First Aider, helping colleagues navigate personal challenges. This reignited my passion for holistic healing and led me to train as a Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, reconnect with Reflexology, and take the leap into private practice.

My training has been a journey of self-discovery, including time as a client myself. Exploring my own thoughts, feelings, and behaviours has been life-changing and has shown me just how powerful counselling can be. I’ve learned how to cope with change and uncertainty, the value of self-awareness, understanding, and self-acceptance and the opportunities brought by self-trust —lessons I bring to every session with my clients. The journey never ends and my continued development is also important, regularly attending CPD courses to bring new ideas and theories in as valuable additions to my private practice.

Self-care is essential for me, too. Whether it’s a nurturing yoga session, an energising walk in nature, or simply sitting quietly with a cup of tea, these moments help me stay grounded and present for the people I support.

Most importantly, my journey has shown me how capable we all are of healing and change. If you’re ready to take your next step, I’d love to support you on your own journey.
